LOCAL DIRECTIONS Most concerts are held at the Church in the Hollow (United Methodist) on State Route 3 in the hamlet of Saranac. Heading west from Plattsburgh, the church is located one mile past the Saranac Central School. Heading east from Saranac Lake, the church is located one mile past the Saranac Town Hall. It’s the only church in Saranac. Occasionally concerts are held in the Saranac Central School Auditorium. Heading west on Route 3 from Plattsburgh pass the school bus yard and Windovers Store. Turn right onto Picketts Corners Road and go less than ½ mile to the Junior High School. Heading east from Saranac Lake, go less than a mile past the church and turn left onto Picketts Corners Road. FROM POINTS SOUTH - Take I-87 (the Northway). - Take Exit 38N, north of Plattsburgh, onto Route 374 heading west. Signs will say Chazy Lake, Dannemora, Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake. (You could also take Exit 37 onto to Route 3 if you need gas, fast food, or a supermarket, but Exit 38N / Route 374 is faster with fewer lights and less traffic.) - After approximately 8 miles on Route 374, take the exit ramp off to the right onto Route 3, heading west to Cadyville. - Stay on Route 3 for about 5 miles to the village of Saranac. Pass Saranac Central School with dozens of school buses on right. FROM POINTS NORTH - Take Route 15 from Quebec. At the border it becomes I-87 (the Northway). - Take Exit 38N, north of Plattsburgh, onto Route 374 heading west. Proceed as above. FROM POINTS EAST - In Vermont get on I-89 and take Exit 17 for Lake Champlain Islands. - Get onto Route 2 East, following signs for "Ferry to New York State." - When leaving the ferry on the New York side, go straight. - At the traffic light go straight. - Get on I-87 (the Northway) heading south for one exit. - Take Exit 38N, onto Route 374 heading west. Proceed as above. FROM POINTS NORTHWEST - Take Route 11 east through Malone to Chateaugay. - At the traffic light turn right onto Route 374 heading south. - 3 miles past Lyon Mountain turn right onto Chazy Lake Road. Follow signs to Saranac, about 10 miles to Route 3. - To get to the Church in the Hollow, turn right onto Route 3 and go 7/10 mile. - To get to the Saranac School Auditorium, turn left onto Route 3 and go 2/10 mile. Turn left onto Picketts Corners Road and proceed as above. FROM POINTS SOUTHWEST - From Lake Placid take Route 86 to Wilmington. At 4-way stop go straight on Co. Road 19 (Bonnie View Road). Follow till it ends and turn left onto Turnpike road. Go by Taylor Pond and Silver Lake. At Hawkeye turn right onto the Silver Lake Road. Follow till the end at Clayburg. Turn right onto Route 3. - From Keene Valley (Route 73) take Route 9N to Upper Jay. Turn left onto Co. Road 12 to Wilmington. Turn left on 86 for ½ mile. At 4-way stop turn right onto Co. Road 19 (Bonnie View Road). Follow till it ends and turn left onto Turnpike road. Go by Taylor Pond and Silver Lake. At Hawkeye turn right onto the Silver Lake Road. Follow till the end at Clayburg. Turn right onto Route 3. - Once on Route 3 pass through hamlets of Clayburg, Redford, Moffitsville. See the Saranac Town Hall on the left. Proceed as above.
